SCHOLARSHIP TO THE ECONOMICALLY POOR MERITORIUS STUDENTS

 

A Project Of

Bidhannagar Residents’Association

 

Under the Community Development Programme of this Association, reaching out to the poor and needy students of nearby areas for their study. The scheme of scholarship has been introduced by this Centre in the year 2004 for the boys and girls who are academically prospective and sincere in their studies.

The support is extended from  primary grade students to University level to continue their higher education. The support includes financial assistance,Books and need based training/coaching. Till date more than 110 students have been supported. 

The identification of deserving student is based on academic merit and need. The assessment is done by physically visiting students dwelling units. This ensures that only deserving students are identified and selection is not merely based on documents.

 

On 31st October 2010 around 31 students have been sponsored under this programme while we look forward to helping more needy students who are coming to us for such assistance.

In support of our endeavour for upbringing the young students from among the poor community around our society, We request all business houses, charitable trusts and generous donors to come forward to contribute an amount per annum under this Programme.

 

All donations are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act,1961. Donations,whatever small or big, will be thankfully received and acknowledged. Cheques/Drafts may kindly be drawn in favour of "Bidhannagar Residents’ Association” and sent to our address given below :
