Legal Awareness Camp

We are organising the Legal Awareness Generation Camp  in different wards of Durgapur Municipal Corporation at an regular interval. As Durgapur Municipal Corporation has entrusted us to conduct  the same. We made a team of 7 resourceful persons.

In the following 6 camps organised by us  at about 1206 (One thousand two hundred and Six)  persons have received legal training, out of which 90% are women.

Ward No. 27 : Bidhannagar Sanskriti Kendra  &  DPL Sub Station   Bustee

Ward No. 26 : Amra Kajan Club  & Janakalyan  Star Club

Ward No. 28.:  ITI Gosaitala  & Sagarbhanga Colony.


In the Legal Awareness Camp  we mainly give special attention to

 

  • Women related laws,
  • Equality of opportunity, status and rights of Women,
  • Marriage, maintenance and alimony,
  • Women’s rights over parental property;
  • Abolition of dowry system,
  • Molestation and sexual harassment,
  • Legalization of legal problem;
  • Facilities during pregnancy in both Hindu and Muslim laws.,
  • F. I. R; arrest, bail, search related laws,
  • Solving family disputes through counseling etc
