THE SPECIAL OCCASIONS

While we organise a variety of programme each year, some of our most enduring and successful programme have been linked to:

  • National Youth Day on January 12: It is the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
  • NETAJI BIRTHDAY on January 23: It is the birthday of Subhas Chandra Basu.
  • Republic Day Celebration on January 26.

 

  • World Blood Donors’Day on June 14: It is the birth day of discoverer of blood groups Noble Laureate Dr. Karl Land Steiner.

 

  • INDEPENDENCE DAY On August 15:

 

  • Raksha Bandhan Day: is a unique occasion in which the traditional rakhi and a gift of blood create ‘blood brothers and sisters’.

 

  • National Integration Day on October 2: It is the birth day of Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi.
  • World Aids Day on December 1:  To develop awareness against the dreadfull disease.

 

OUR SUCCESSFUL EVENTS

Colourful Rally on WORLD AIDS DAY:       

On World AIDS Day, people from around the world unite to raise awareness and show commitment to “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” It is the perfect opportunity for young people to join together to organize activities that draw attention to the needs of other young people.  One of the key challenges in responding to AIDS is the need to continually expand, strengthen and sustain leadership at all levels. True leadership is reflected in action, not words.


Diabetic Check-up and awarness camp:

On 14th November every year we observe  - WORLD DIABETES DAY.


Inter State Bi-Cycle Campaign Tour from Durgapur to Kanya Kumari to commemorate the 100th year of the martyrdom of the young freedom fighter Khudiram Bose & Prafullya Chaki.

On 16th November, 2008, a team of five motivators started  their voyage on bi-cycle from Binoy Badal Dinesh Bahawan, Bidhan Nagar. Durgapur – 12 and carry the noble message of donation of blood throughout their journey from Durgapur to Kanyakumari, inspiring the people to donate blood.  the team reached Kanya Kumari (Tamilnadu) on 31st December2008. They  travelled at about 2600 KM. On the way 67 strret corner meeting were held and at about 25,000 people were present in the said meetings.

Mr. R.N.Basu Roy Chowdhury- Hon’ble SDM Durgapur started the rally.

The following motivators participated in the rally. They are the proud of our organisation:-

2.       Mr. Ashutosh Naskar aged 48 yrs of  Bhiringi Nutanpally,

3.       Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta aged 31 yrs of  SukantaPally(West), Amrai,

4.       Mr. Partha Karmakar aged 34 yrs of Bhiringi Gram , Mondalpara,

5.       Mr. Ramshankar Sharma aged 43 yrs of Bhiringi Nutanpally.

 

Campaign against Social Evils :

We have organised a decorated Motor Cycle Rally on 9th November ‘08 from  Muchipara to Durgapur Station. 100 motor cyclist participated in the rally and a Propagatory Campaign was held on  13th November’ 08 at City Centre.

 

Thalassaemia Care :

We extended our best effort & support to the Thalassaemia patients by donating blood as they need constant transfusion. We regularly giving the blood to the following 03 patients – Bappaditya Kumar, Md. Nassiruddin & Pratima Mukherjee.We have the co-ordial realtionship with Durgapur Society for Prevention of Thalassaemia & Aids.

 

Cancer Care :

We extended our hand for cancer patients with our limited resource. Our volunteers donate blood at regular intervals. We maintain a good relationships with Mohonananda Cancer Diagonestic Centre, Durgapur.
